First licensed in 1975, with Fallin Realty on Pennsylvania Avenue,
at the foot of the Nation’s Capitol selling property on Capitol Hill.
Richard then moved to Germany, living in a small village between
Frankfurt and Heidelberg. Back in the U.S working with J. Walter
Jones Real Estate on acquisitions and sales of large hotel chains
( i.e Hilton) working with domestic and foreign investors. A new
business opportunity took Richard back to Germany to live and commute
to St. Petersburg, Russia. He worked on acquisitions and sales of
former government properties from his office on Nevsky Pr. (Main
St.) then Leningrad. Upon leaving Russia to care for his parents
who were both ill, Richard was replaced by the former finance minister
from Germany.
Now living in the Florida Keys for the past ten years with his wife and 5 daughters
and loving it. They as a family have also been involved with the local nursing
home and The Miami Children’s Home, inviting the entire home for fishing, snorkeling,
and having fun a few times a year. The reason I share this is summed up in an
old saying, “People don’t care what we know until they know we care.
Richard’s brief resume made him think of an old saying from his Father, “If we
could buy ourselves for what we are worth, and sell ourselves for what we think
we are worth, we would make a handsome profit.”
